Biography:
Dr. Hoisington is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Clinical Lipidology.
He has memberships with the American and Michigan Academies of Family
Practice;
American Geriatrics Society; National and Midwest Lipid Associations (Board of
Directors of the Midwest Lipid Association); American Heart Association;
American Stroke Association; International Atherosclerosis Society; the
American Heart Association’s Council of Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis and
Vascular Disease; the American Heart Association’s Council on Epidemiology and
Prevention and the American Heart Association’s Interdisciplinary Working
Group
on Atherosclerotic Peripheral Vascular Disease.
Currently, Dr. Hoisington is a member of the Board of Directors for Mid-
Michigan Physicians as well as the Executive Committee and Quality Assurance
Committee. He has had five years of training in Clinical Lipidology including
tutorials with Alan Brown, M.D., at the Midwest Heart Institute in
Napierville,
Illinois as well as courses sponsored by the National lipid
Association.
Dr. Hoisington is married with three adult children. He has been practicing in
the Lansing, Michigan area since the completion of his specialty training.
His
wife Kathi Hoisington, B.S.N. is a Certified Lipid Nurse Clinician.
