She completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at the University of Iowa. Dr. Dodds is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. She is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association, where she sits on both the Education Committee and the Learning Center Committee. A Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Dodds has served on the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Committee. She also teaches arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, and ankle at the national level.
